Before choosing a Dune: Imperium upgrade, check which game is on your shelf and what you want to replace. A resource set for Dune: Imperium, a Uprising component collection and a set of alliance figures serve different needs.
A buying guide by DeluxyGames comparing our own unofficial accessories. These products are separate from the publisher's official Deluxe Upgrade Pack.
Choose by game and by purpose
- You own Dune: Imperium and want to upgrade resources: start with the Dune Imperium Resource Set, listed for that game.
- You own Uprising and want troops, agents, spies, resources and markers: compare the Uprising Deluxe Upgrade Kit.
- You only want faction alliance figures: choose the separate Uprising Alliance Figure Set.
Uprising: four players or six-player teams?
The up-to-four-player kit contains 199 pieces. It includes 48 troops, 12 agents, 12 spies, 16 influence markers, 12 control markers, 4 High Council markers, 4 scoring markers and 4 combat markers. It also contains a first-player marker, Feyd-Rautha training token, four maker hooks, a shield wall, a Mentat, four alliance figures and 75 resource pieces.
The up-to-six-player kit contains 219 pieces: the same collection plus 20 components for the 3v3 commander mode. Those extras are six commander agents, six commander spies, two commander influence markers, two commander scoring markers, two commander High Council markers, and the Great Houses and Fringe Worlds alliance figures.
Choose four players for the standard Uprising setup, or six players if you want the listed commander components for the team mode. The six-player kit is not six identical copies of the standard player set. On the product selector, the options are labelled “Hasta 4 jugadores” and “Hasta 6 jugadores”.
Are the alliance figures already included?
Yes, in the Deluxe Upgrade Kit. The four-player version includes Emperor, Spacing Guild, Bene Gesserit and Fremen. The six-player version also includes Great Houses and Fringe Worlds. You do not need the standalone alliance set to complete the corresponding kit.

Buy the separate alliance set if you want that focused upgrade while keeping your other pieces. Despite “Influence Tokens” appearing in its product name, this set contains faction alliance figures, not the individual player markers used on influence tracks. It does not include troops, agents or resources.
Resource Set versus resources in the Uprising kit
The standalone Dune Imperium Resource Set lists 15 water, 24 coins (20 value-1 and four value-5), 23 spice tokens (20 value-1 and three value-3), plus a giant worm first-player marker. Its listing specifies compatibility with Dune: Imperium.
The Uprising kit instead includes 75 resource pieces: 20 water, 28 Solari (20 value-1 and eight value-5), and 27 spice (20 value-1 and seven value-5). These are different quantities and denominations; do not assume the standalone set is the resource portion of the Uprising kit.

Already own a deluxe pack or miniatures?
Inventory what you already have before adding a complete collection. Identify the missing function: resources, spies, alliance figures or commander pieces. A standalone alliance set may suit an existing collection better than another broad kit.
“Deluxe Upgrade Pack” is also the name of a publisher product discussed by players. Check the maker and contents before comparing it with DeluxyGames. This guide does not claim that our pieces fit the publisher's deluxe box or an existing storage insert.
What is not included?
- The original games, boards, cards, leader cards and expansion content.
- Rise of Ix upgrade components or optional Garrison Arenas in the Uprising Deluxe kit.
- Any accessory that is not explicitly listed for your selected variant.
Compatibility is product-specific. The Uprising kit is designed around Uprising components; this guide does not present it as a complete replacement set for the original Imperium or every expansion. Follow your edition's rules for which pieces to use. Optional components do not add new rules.
A compatibility question players already ask
This BoardGameGeek discussion about the publisher's Deluxe Upgrade Pack and Uprising raises questions about spies, six-player commander pieces and storage. It explains why checking the exact game and contents matters. It is not a review of DeluxyGames or confirmation that our products fit another maker's box.
