Choose Spirit Island upgrades by their job on the island: player presence, invader pieces or reminders for defense values. A visual replacement and a tracking aid can be useful for different reasons.
Three ways to start
- Enemy pieces only: the Invaders Set has ten cities, 16 towns and 20 explorers: 46 pieces. Cities and towns have damage values engraved on their sides.
- Remember defense totals: the Defense Tokens Set contains ten value-1, ten value-2 and ten value-4 tokens. Combine values to display the total you need.
- Player markers and island pieces: the Deluxe Upgrade Set combines the invaders with presence, effect and isolation markers, fear markers and Dahan huts.
What does the complete set cover?
It supplies 104 presence tokens (13 in each of eight colours), 24 single-turn effect markers, 24 isolation markers, the 46 invaders, 20 fear markers and 36 Dahan huts. The effect and isolation markers each provide three per colour.
The 30 numbered Defense Tokens are separate and are not included. If you already like your original invaders, buying the defense set alone addresses the tracking need without replacing every piece. Conversely, an invader-only purchase supplies no presence or defense tokens.
Keep game effects distinct
Presence, isolation and defense are different information. A numbered defense marker records an effect supplied by the game; it does not itself grant protection. Keep your own rulebook and cards as the authority for timing and values.
Players discuss using dice or tokens to record defense. If your current method is comfortable, you do not need a new marker solely to play correctly. Our numbered pieces offer another physical way to show that information.
Check your collection before ordering
These listings are accessories, not copies of Spirit Island or its expansions. Eight colours of presence pieces do not add player boards or establish a new supported player count. Compare the listed quantities with your setup; this guide does not promise enough pieces for every expansion combination or compatibility with a particular insert.
