Choose Wingspan accessories around the expansions you actually play and the components you want to handle differently. Extra food, player pieces and a birdfeeder solve different needs; the largest kit is not essential for every table.

Start with your collection
- Base game: Basic in the Deluxe Upgrade Kit supplies 105 food tokens, 48 birdhouses and one first-player bird: 154 pieces.
- Asia colours: Basic + Asia has 64 birdhouses, adding black and white, with the same 105 food tokens and first-player bird: 170 pieces.
- Oceania nectar: Basic + Asia + Oceania adds 69 nectar tokens to the 170-piece configuration: 239 pieces.
These names describe accessory configurations. They do not include the expansions, bird cards, player mats or dice. If you own Oceania without Asia, compare the contents rather than assuming every extra birdhouse is necessary for your setup.
Extra Resources or Complete Set?
Extra Resources supplies only 105 standard food tokens: 21 each of fish, invertebrates, rodents, fruit and seeds. It contains no nectar, birdhouses or first-player bird. It is an optional extra supply, not a requirement for playing the European expansion.
Complete Set combines the 239-piece configuration with those extra 105 resources, for 344 pieces. Do not add Extra Resources again unless you deliberately want another supply.
Nests and the birdfeeder are different purchases
Select With Egg Nests, where offered, to add four nest containers. Eggs are not included. The totals above exclude the four nests. The Bird Feeder Dice Tower is a separate accessory, not part of the resource kit. It has an integrated tray and comes apart for storage; the listing confirms fit in the original game box. Dice are not supplied.
Before ordering
Check your existing food supply, whether your chosen games use nectar, and whether you want containers or replacement pieces. Box-fit information for the birdfeeder does not establish fit for every kit, insert or combination of expansions.
The BGG discussion about Wingspan component upgrades illustrates why it helps to choose one component category at a time. It is community context, not a review of these products. This guide compares DeluxyGames' unofficial accessories; the game is required.
